All dolled up and silly looking. So posed and preened. We know Sam from
the old days in the Miami music scene. He played in so many local bands
back then when we were all teenagers and early twenties. I am glad to
see someone from the old group finally achieve that kind of success.
awesome. because we all wanted it and want it still. but I am so not
into that dolled up poseur shit. they look truly ridiculous. I hope we
never do that. in fact, I know we never will. cover of Spin or not.
reminds me of the mid-sixties when all the bands except the Beatles were
all trying to wear suits and do their hair the same way and look like
the Beatles. But the Beatles had already moved on. that's what all these
modern rock bands are doing now. all trying to dress the same and look
the same. its fucking silly and it takes away from their true
personalities coming out.
You know I'm working with
this new image consultant now, JB. And I'm getting a lot out of it. but
he's not really going for the ‘look like everyone else, or try to look
cool’ vibe. I like that. instead he's getting me to discover who I am at
heart and just finding looks to express that. for me now, I think that
its all about me just being as much me as I can be. both personality and
looks. I think that's going to be the new thing for me. just being me.
however that looks or appears. JB asks me the other day if I know that I
still have the tags on my shirt. and I tell him, sure I do. I like to
keep them on till they fall off. Well what about when you wash them? he
asks. Well, I don't wash them right away honestly. I like to wear my new
shirts a few weeks straight, sometimes days and days in a row when
they're new. That's just what I do. because I like them so much. And he
just looks at me with this smile. And he says Fishy you can’t invent a
quirk like that. you see? That's you. man that's something. you gotta
use that...
Last screening:
wedding crashers. This is HILARIOUS!!!! I'm talking knee slapping foot
stomping funny. Vince Vaughn is fucking way over the top. Just being
himself. This is one of the moments in history when everything in the
world just sucks and we need a good laugh and this movie hits the spot.
Current spin: casino vs. Japan, Via. This is good instrumental synth music. spacey. You forget its on. good music to work to.
